1. Who we are
This website, forhex.in, is run by FORHEX — the Federation of Rajasthan Handicraft Exporters, Jaipur (“FORHEX”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through the website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 in mind.
2. Information we collect
Contact form. When you use the form on our Contact page, we receive the details you enter — your name, email address, phone number, subject, enquiry category and message. The form is processed on our website and delivered to the FORHEX team by email.
FORHEX Fair exhibitor form. The Exhibitor Participation Form works inside your own browser. The details you type and any product images or catalogue files you add are used on your device to prepare a filled PDF and a pre-written email to FORHEX. Nothing from that form reaches us until you send that email yourself; we then receive whatever the email and its attachments contain.
Messages you send us directly by email, phone, WhatsApp or social media, including any documents you share for membership or fair participation.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers automatically record basic technical data when pages are requested — such as IP address, browser type, the pages visited and the time of the visit — to keep the website running and secure.
3. How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiries and keep a record of our correspondence;
- to process membership applications and FORHEX Fair participation, including stall allotment, invoicing and event communication;
- to tell you about FORHEX Fair and other FORHEX events or opportunities that relate to your enquiry or membership — you can ask us to stop at any time;
- to operate, protect and improve the website; and
- to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. When we share information
We share personal information only where needed: with service providers that help us run the website and email (such as our hosting company), with parties involved in organising the fair where your participation requires it (for example venue and stall logistics, limited to the details they need), and with government or law-enforcement authorities when the law requires it.
5. Third-party services on this website
Some features load content from other companies, which may receive your IP address and browser details when you open those pages: Google Maps (the map on our Contact page), Google Fonts, and public code libraries delivered through cdnjs (Cloudflare), jsDelivr and unpkg. Links to Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), WhatsApp and government websites take you to services that follow their own privacy policies.
6. Cookies
Our pages may set a small number of technical cookies that the website needs in order to work, for example cookies set by WordPress. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above — for example, enquiry emails for as long as the conversation is relevant, and membership and fair records for as long as your membership or participation continues and afterwards for the period required by tax and other laws.
8. Security
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to our email and systems is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
9. Your rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct or update it, to delete it where we no longer need to keep it, or to withdraw a consent you have given. You can also raise a grievance about how we have handled your data. Write to us at info@forhex.org and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is accepting complaints.
10. Children
This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with its “last updated” date.
